A Midwest farmer was describing his way of life to a touring group of metropolis people.

“One of many advantages of this career,” he defined, “is that we now have built-in climate predictions.”

“What do you imply by that?” requested one inquisitive customer.

“When the cows are standing,” the farmer defined, “it means no rain is probably going for the following twenty-four hours. Once they’re mendacity down, it means it’s going to rain.”
