A police officer, although scheduled for all-night responsibility on the station, was relieved of responsibility early.
So he arrived house 4 hours forward of schedule, at 2 within the morning.
Not eager to wake his spouse, he undressed at midnight, crept into the bed room and began to climb into mattress.
Simply then, his spouse sleepily sat up and stated, “Mike, dearest, would you go right down to the all-night drug retailer on the following block and get me some aspirin? I’ve obtained a splitting headache.”
“Actually, honey,” he stated, and feeling his method throughout the darkish room, he obtained dressed and walked over to the drug retailer.
As he arrived, the pharmacist appeared up in shock, “Say,” stated the druggist, “I do know you – aren’t you a policeman? Officer Fenwick, proper?”
“Yeah, so?” stated the officer.
“Nicely what the heck are you doing all dressed up just like the Fireplace Chief?”
