ALL IN ALL!
The author, 45, is married to an extreme introvert for 20 years and has never made a friend. They have made acquaintances and attended couple events, but they don’t get asked back for follow-on couple outings. The author has been unsure if they like their partner, but it took about 10 years to accept that they are alone in finding social outlets. As their two kids grow up, the author wonders where their life will go with their partner as they move on and out. As life gets older and physical attraction wears off, the author is starting to long for a conversationalist to help build meaningful relationships with community.
Any parenting advice for OP? What would you do in his situation?
