At Dijbi, we believe that the changes brought about by aging do not diminish a woman’s beauty but rather enhance her special charm and allure. Nonetheless, being aware of these changes can be beneficial. That’s why we’ve compiled a list of subtle yet highly demonstrative signs that unveil the true age of even the most frequent beauty salon visitors.

1. The forehead becomes flat.

It’s quite surprising to realize that the loss of volume in certain parts of the body is attributed to age-related atrophy of the subcutaneous fat layer. Interestingly, Botox injections, often beloved by many, can exacerbate this issue. Even if the forehead appears smooth, it may still lose volume, ultimately revealing a woman’s true age.

2. Lips lose their volume and moisture.

Regrettably, the shape of lips undergoes changes as the years pass. They gradually lose volume, become drier, and develop so-called “purse-string” wrinkles around them. Lips that once appeared juicy, plump, and sensual may visually diminish in size and thickness.

3. The shape and size of the belly button change too.

The appearance of this part of the body can undergo changes over time due to factors such as weight gain, conditions like omphalocele, piercings, and pregnancies.

4. Dark circles appear under the eyes.

After the age of 30, the subcutaneous fat layer thins due to decreased collagen production. Consequently, the skin around the eyes loses density, becomes more transparent, and begins to reveal blood vessels, resulting in the emergence of dark circles under the eyes.

5. The earlobes stretch and increase in size.

The earlobes, like the hands and neck, also serve as indicators of age. Despite their significance, women often tend to overlook them compared to other body parts. However, similar to other areas, earlobes also experience a loss of thin fat layer and elasticity over time. Consequently, they may become stretched out, especially exacerbated by wearing large and heavy earrings.

6. The brow ridges are lowered, the look becomes less open.

In youth, robust skin tension keeps our eyebrows securely in place, preventing them from “sliding” down. However, as we age, the production of collagen, which maintains skin elasticity and firmness, decreases. Additionally, facial muscles weaken and succumb to gravity’s pull. Consequently, our brows gradually descend, pressed downward by these weakened muscles, often beginning to hang over our eyes. This can impart a grumpy appearance to our face.

7. The “triangle of youth” gets inverted with its base down.

In youth, the shape of our face resembles a triangle with the apex directed downward and the base along the forehead, often referred to as the “triangle of youth.” However, with age, this configuration reverses, with the base now facing downward.

Over the years, the subcutaneous fat layer gradually descends, causing the cheeks to lose their former elasticity and resulting in the formation of nasolabial folds. Consequently, our appearance no longer reflects the youthful vigor we once possessed.

8. The complexion fades and the skin loses its luster.

It’s evident that as we age, the complexion gradually loses its healthy and radiant appearance, becoming duller over time. This decline can be primarily attributed to the reduced synthesis of collagen and elastin in the skin. Additionally, inadequate or improper skincare, lack of sleep, fatigue, an unhealthy diet, and poor lifestyle habits further exacerbate this process.

9. The eyes and mouth corners move down.
