One of the friends, Jen, has been around for a few years and has been friends with the author for a few years. Jen has been visiting the author’s daughter on her days off, making jokes about being her nanny and referring to her as an absent mother. The author is appalled and has decided to ban Jen from their home.
The author has been working on reducing her hours but has been unable to do so due to her husband’s reluctance to move to full time. The author feels that the situation has brought strain to their relationship and that it is entirely their fault.
